I live upstairs and the cat had to have gone out of its way to plant one right next to the doormat. We have so many half-starved stray cats. Animal control won't do anything about them. I suggested a fund raiser to get them all spayed and neutered, but the apartment complex won't even go for that.

4. Good point.
I have an almost obsessive-compulsive "eeewww" thing when it comes to dog and cat shit. That's why I have parrots.

I like dogs and cats. I just can't stand what comes out the other end. :) Probably a leftover from my pet store employee days. I had to deal with way too much shit.

3. Think of it as a gift.
There was a neighborhood cat who used to leave dead critters on my doorstep. I was honored--kind of. If anything, look at it as a symbolic remembrance of today.
