I think I've finally cracked

I've been cheerfully announcing to all my friends today "Yup, the idiot won. Now we're all gonna fucking die!" I can't quite describe how I feel right now. It's a combination of rage, calm acceptance, amusement, shock, disappointment, and some general nihilistic feelings. I cried myself to sleep after the 2000 fiasco, but I'm just feeling really weird right now. I don't actually feel upset . . . I think. This and the weird fatalistic things I've been saying all day have lead me to believe I've gone completely off the deep end. Oh well, I think we'll all have to be at least a little bit insane to make it though the coming dark years.

I got 5 hours last night, but before that i've been getting 9 a night for the past week at least. I usually run great even on 4, so i don't think that's the reason.

So far my family is taking it pretty well. We're all democrats, but i'm the only political junkie. They're disappointed, but I think everyone is to a differing degree. Hang in there! :hug:

and backed into her car because she wouldn't move it. Then I jumped

14. I cried all day

I haven't cried in over a year. I had no idea losing would hurt this badly. I am also afraid. Afraid for my safety as well as the safety of other Americans, of the world. I only got about 3 hours sleep last night but still can't sleep. I feel numb, do-less, sort of empty. I don't know what to do with myself. I mean I've always had so much work to do for the cause. Now it's just - poof - gone. A lot can happen in two years. Even more in 4 years. I guess this means Patriot Act II will be passed, and Roe v. Wade will be overturned.
