Because the Florida, Pennsylvania and Ohio polls will have all closed.

Ohio won't turn into 2000's Florida. I don't trust Ken Blackwell and I fear the potential problems from voter challengers.

3. Florida covers two time zones.
That said, I'd be delighted to get down to Rocky Sullivan's Tuesday at 9:30 and find that Kerry has won.

4. I think we'll have a feeling at 7 PM when Kerry takes NH and VA
We'll really know at 7:30 when Kerry takes OH and WV. At 8:00 Pennsylvania and Florida come in. I think we'll take at least Pennsylvania. At 8:30 Arkansas comes in and will be wearing blue. At 9:00 the rest of Michigan comes in. We've won, but it won't be called yet (that is if Florida is still undecided). At 11:00 The west coast comes in and we'll get a declared winner, but we'll know the result MUCH EARLIER.
