As a lifelong Cardinals fan, I say congratulations. The Red Sox did put on a superb performance during the Series, out-pitching, out-hitting, and out-performing the Cardinals in every respect. Enjoy your moment, you fully deserve it. If it had been anybody else than the Cardinals playing you, I would have been rooting for the Sox right along with you(I'm a sucker for underdogs).

However, remember that statement that you folks have been repeating for over eighty years now, there is always next year, and the Cardinals will be back(and hopefully bring their game with them next time).

So again, congratulations on a fine season, and a great finish to it. You are the World Champions! Enjoy!

The vaunted Cardinals offense collapsed, completely. And some of the decisions that LaRusa made during the Series still baffle me. The one bright light is that the Cardinals should return their team pretty much intact next year.
