2. They had a little bump, but recently the writing got better again

I'm looking forward to the new season...and still waiting for the movie. I figure they got a few more seasons, and a movie in them.

12. the first double digit seasons were awful, but the've gotten better

personally, i think they should go a few more seasons, then have a spinoff -- "Springfield, USA". That show has SO many characters (and a well established universe/brand) that they could go on for decades.

The untalented Simpson sisters - Jumped the shark about three days after they first became famous.

6. As long as there's an occasional turnover of writers and the actors...

love doing it (and they all seem to), "The Simpsons" can last at least another 3 -4 years. Maybe 5. :-)

19. This last season (Season 15) was one of the best ones in about 3-4 years

I think some of the writing/production staff turned over and the quality had a definite improvement. They could go a few more years.
