Cold out these days.. favourite cold weather, early morning driving tunes?
You know the ones, you drag your ass outta bed at six to start a four hour drive or something. The car is cold as you start it, you sit their huddled with a cup of coffee as it warms up, then you drive off, still kinda in a daze.
It turns blue out as you drive the highway, not much other traffic on the road, and you see the town and country waking up.

I like some Bob Dylan.

2. like 90's alternative stuff
I don't know what it is, but any song that reminds me of HS gets me up and singing along.

4. not me, I hope...
and I don't even normally post to the "what's your favorite...?" threads...but your heading caught my eye

I have a fave cd that I like to listen to at the end of the year because it begins with a song that has a Christmasy mood, without being a Christmas song. Great for first snow.

It's the soundtrack from the movie "Toys" -- Robin Williams, Robin Wright (now Wright-Penn) Joan Cusack, LL Cool J, more you'd recognize. Varied, fun, mainly original music. Funny and intriguing movie, too, quirky and surrealist.

Classical guitar is always good for a crisp fall drive.

Hope that makes up for the lack of musical insomniacs in the Lounge tonight.

Peace
BQ B-)

5. Joe Walsh
The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get

The first song "Rocky Mountain Way" is alright I guess, but the rest of the cd is pretty good for the kind of drive you're talking about.

6. I wish I could get up early in the morning
I've worked second shift for years. That coupled with the medication I have to take makes it just about impossible for me to get up early. But if I were to get up that early and have to drive somewhere I think I would prefer something sober to listen to like the news on AM radio.

7. Detroit Rock City eliminates the daze
After that, who knows? Dylan is cool; Beatles, Doors, early U2...it's all good.

8. The same Led Zeppelin tunes
that make me think of a rainy Sunay afternoon... "Bron-Y-Ur," "The Ocean," etc...
