Hi, all!

After a few e-mails inquiring about how Paddy and I are, etc., I thought it was time to post and bring everyone up to date.

We're doing great, but we've been devoting massive amounts of time to our local and state party, especially the GOTV efforts. For the first time in over a century (!), our party is contesting every single office in this county, and we like our candidate's chances. For Sheriff, we have as our nominee a retired Illinois State Police crime-scene investigator and graduate of the FBI Academy, for coroner a practicing physician and for State's Attorney the former chief of the Appellate Prosecutor's Office of the Illinois' Attorney General's Office. Our party has registered almost 2400 new voters, an increase of almost 30% in the number of registered voters. We also continue to work for Dr. David Gill, our candidate for Congress from Illinois' 15th District ( http://www.davidgillforcongress.com ).

On a personal level, we're also as busy as two beavers. We're both in school full-time, as well as running both businesses. I kid Paddy that one night we're going to come home and be bitten by our own dogs, because they'll have forgotten who we are! ;)

9. And we're back.

Walked all of precinct 3, and found a surprisngly good reception, considering that this is largely Republican turf. A lot of women in houses with 'Bush-Cheney' yard signs seemed interested in the Kerry-Edwards literature. Makes on wonder, doesn't it?

We're both exhausted, and figure one night at home won't hurt. Besides, the dogs are REALLY happy to see us making a meal at home. They've been very good, despite being semi-neglected.

and over all day long. I did it for like 15 minutes straight when I paid $2.10 for gas here in CT.

I have my Kerry-Edwards sign on the lawn, a button on my coat and a sign taped to the inside of my car window.
I'm ready to kick some cowboy butt!

Talk to them, friend-to-friend, and bring them on board. If even 1/10th of all Democrats can convince just ONE person to vote Kerry-Edwards, we'll win in a landslide.
