myself to using foul language in every post so that if the freepers decide to use my thread for their silly humorless fodder, they will have a lot of editing to do. (they don't do foul language in freeperville). Therefore:

Shit, damn, fuck, drat...

82. I used to "date" a woman who said that as her curse
Every time something would happen, she'd say "oh bother". It was quite annoying really, especially when something would really piss me off and she'd come up with that...We'd be out driving and someone would cut right in front of us, and she says "Oh bother". Hell, by the time she'd actually manage to say anything I'd invented scores of new cursewords because I'd already exhausted so many of them.

And I am fortunate that the Prophetess can curse a storm when she wants to. I like it when people just go ahead and say what they want rather than trying to candy-coat it to the point that it loses meaning.

How about Champagne? Not very slippery, but it numbs the tongue and moistens belly buttons.

81. In that case....
You don't know me well enough to call me dear. I didn't presume that you were cheap or easy. If I thought you were, I wouldn't have bothered with innuendo.

But, alas, we hardly know each other. This a rare Saturday night at home for me and I found the word play amusing...let us keep it amusing. I find this reminiscent of Lysistrata, which is dotted with such things.

Nice getting to know you!

:hi:

84. I call everyone who amuses me "dear." I am cheap and easy
so there! Check my profile if anything I say ever offends you and again, I welcome you with all my heart to the Lounge! :hi: It's a rare Saturday night for me, too. BTW: WTF is Lysistrata?

Oh and, I have an inny, so the whole champagne thing is cool by me!

91. Glad you asked that....
And no, there was no offense taken, and I've already read your profile. I work in a Repuglican dominated environment and am impervious to verbal offense. Just an FYI...you need not ever apologize to me...moving on works just fine:-)

Lysistrata is a Greek play written by Aristophanes about the wives of Trojan warriors...(or is it Spartan? I forget) who decide to go on a sex strike as a means of persuading their husbands to end the Trojan Wars. In the end, the strike works. The play has a lot of innuendo in it...embarrased a lot of my classmates...heehee.

Glad you share my taste for bubbly.

96. But of course
I totally needed something lighthearted and this fits the bill. I'm going between threads here and am enjoying multitasking for amusement only, rather than what I would be doing at work.

I have peeked in the lounge before but never posted. This is fun. I like it because there's no issue about who's hitting on whom. Defenses can be dropped and I don't have to worry about being perceived as a predator. It's like a bar without the bullshit.

One could go out on a limb here, but what would be the point? I'm reading text on a screen and I'm drinking burbon and soda, enjoying this in a kind of intimate, but detached way.

It's different. Thanks for the lighthearted conversation...I'm a very serious person most of the time, but the alcohol is settleing in and IIIIIIIIIIIII....IIII...have become...comfortably numb.

But not too numb yet...if you start seeing typos, let me know; I'll shut down.

:toast:

100. not a Floyd fan myself - note avatar and sig line, but comfortably
numb seems okay by me. I'm glad you are enjoying yourself here. I'm actually pretty much of a newbie, but I have one or two friends who understand my sense of humor (or lack thereof). I'm glad you came to play with us tonite and I dug the champange - Dom Perignon, no? Please come back again, you've been a great sport.

I've been known to loosen a few caps on salt and pepper shakers and stretch cellophane over a few toilet seats, but never would I fuck with a persons garage door tracks. O8)

I loosened her pepper and Criscoed her garage tracks

Wouldn't you do too?

I shook her salt shaker and cling wrapped her bed pan

What would any man do?

58. Reminds Me of the Joke About The Vaseline Salesman
He was going door to door, asking people how they use Vaseline.

He knocks on a door and a woman answers.

Salesman: "Hello. I'm from the Vaseline Company. Do you use our product?

Woman: "Yes, I do."

Salesman: "What do you use it for?"

Woman: "We use it for cuts, we use it for minor burns, and my husband and I use it for sex."

Salesman: "Sex?"

Woman: "Yes - we smear it on the doorknob to keep the kids out of the bedroom."
