CD I made wont play in my '99 Mazda Protege CD player...WHY? What can I do
What can I do so that my homemade CDs will play in my Mazda factory CD player in my Protege?

Any ideas on how I can solve this problem?

1. buy a new cd player
I have the same problem with my older cd players - they don't play burned cds.

2. There's plenty of reasons. Here's what worked for me.
Does your homemade CD contain more than 74 minutes of music?

Car CD players seem to have trouble if you max out the storage space on a home-burned audio CD.

8. Get a tape deck. Tapes are more car-hearty

9. Do your homemade CDs play anywhere else?
And by "anywhere else" I mean another CD player, not the CD-ROM drive in a computer. Computers are more forgiving.

If they won't play anywhere else, look in the manual for your CD-burning software.

If they will play, you obviously have a defective car and need a better one. Accords are good.

10. When you burned the disc...did you burn it as an mp3
or as a regular CD? If it's an mp3, the player in your car may be too old to know how to read that format.
