3. Our son and his fiancee took us out to dinner...No cooking for me..

4. Life isn't perfect

But it's REALLLLLLY close. I had a great childhood (poor, but didn't know it). I always had an upbeat, positive personality but have been particularly happy since I found my other half 15 years ago.

Today we slept in, had a great breakfast, read the paper and enjoyed ourselves. Then we went out and ate shellfish (lobster, crab legs and shrimp). Now he's asleep and I'm on DU, puppy by my side. SNL is on in the background.

Yes, I am very, very, very happy.

I'm realizing the pain of heartbreak fades; the scars will always be there, but the pain will dull.
I'm privileged to go to a very good college.
I'm privileged to live in America.
And the Yankees won. So yeah, I'm pretty damned happy :)

Nobody has a perfect life, but happiness is being in control of how you react to adversity.

You can choose to react angrily and make yourself unhappy or you can choose to reacty calmly keep yourself happy :)
