I just missed out on an interesting conversation cause of some clod

I was about to engage in the most interesting conversation I'd ever have in this town. A guy came in, one of the smarter people in town, to tell me he disagreed with me on my Vietnam memorial column. He agreed it was an unjust war, and he agrees todays war is unjust. He told me if I read certain books, and he was kinda being timid and holding back. He had something interesting to say..... just then one of the typical local fuckwads comes in with their "my shit first" attitude (even though what they had was of no importance). And my conversationalist says "Well, look I'll just give you this and talk to you later."

He gave me an article from the Ukrainian news call "Our dead children" about Beslan.

Then he left.... AARRRGHHHHHH! Stupid yokel wrecking my first halfway interesting conversation in the 8 months I've been here!!
