My grandmother and I share the hamburger lovin' gene.... the family calls us Wimpy. (Popeye reference....) Of course, I'm obsessive about meat standards, so I only eat them at home and at two restaurants that I know of that use all natural beef that's grass fed....

21. I need something to have...
...with this wonderful bleu cheese dressing I bought yesterday. It's so good that I ate a spoonful right out of the jar. Marie's super bleu. Avocado, definitely. Maybe sprouts and red onion and roast beef.

My favorite sandwich is one I first had at a little restaurant in Montana. Cucumber, bell pepper, sliced tomato with fresh dill mayo and cracked pepper on whole wheat.

But I also love grilled cheese. I often have that and an apple for lunch.

26. Hot Pastrami
on a bun with a smattering of mustard and a slice of dill pickle and that's it!
Nowhere west of the Hudson River do they do this right!
Here in the NW if you find a deli that offers it you'll get something on dark rye bread with mayo, sprouts and tomatoes as soon as naught!
They may come close in LA I suppose, but seeing those roadside joints offering pastrami tacos kinda turned me off the the whole idea down there...

In order of delicousness, the best places to get beefs are:

1 and 2 (tie) Johnnies on North, Portillos
(Johnnies of better beef, Portillos have great peppers)

3. Bostons on Grand and Chicago

4. Carm's (I'm told the one with all the hookers on Cicero is closed so I guess I have to go with the one on Wolf by 22d)

29. muffaletta!
I fell in love with this sandwich in New Orleans.

I also like a couple I get at the best deli here in San Diego. Anything with their chopped liver is good, and the tongue is great too. Pastrami, roast beef and tongue on rye is an incredible sandwich.

I like it on white bread with cheddar, or fancy with fontina and vegetables on focaccia. I just like the melty goodness that is grilled cheese.

44. I heard that...
and microbrews too. I've got to get there but the Phillies didn't give me much incentive this season.

On a sour note, I've always hated the layout of the Linc and now today I read this:

Men agree: Lots of louts at games

It's not just the ladies who are offended by the piggish behavior of Eagles fans at the stadium.

After last week's Daily News report detailing the sexist antics of some loutish fans, several male ticket holders contacted the paper to say that they too hate the cesspool of jerks.

"There are groups of them that spoil it for everybody else," said Kevin, 33, a season-ticket holder from Wyoming, Pa. "You get a group of guys that harass people, the opposing fans, women...I think it's a mob mentality."

Kevin said he wouldn't take his ex-girlfriend to games because of the way he feared she'd get treated.

"Basically, I offered to take her to a couple of exhibition games because I know it's less intense," he said. "She thought I was holding out, but I don't think a lot of people do get it until you experience it."

Kevin was one of several men who said the fans are out of control.

At a recent Monday night game, this reporter saw fans, before and during the game, yelling at women, sexually harassing them, urinating in public and generally behaving badly.

One young man said his goal for the evening was to "slay some bitches."
