Chicago DUers: Let's roll out the welcome mat for RationalRose!

She's going to be in town on business, so let's show her some Midwestern hospitality. Tuesday, Oct. 5 seems to work the best for me. Jason will be in town as well, so that's three of us to start.

Who else can make it for a drink or two? Anything interesting in the Hyde Park area? We'll have a car, so moving further into town isn't a problem either.

Let me know and we'll pull something together. I would love to see the usual suspects, but others are welcome as well. :-)

3. I could possibly make it

My schedule is day to day, depending on work and abrasion on the home front. I am assuming sometime in the early evening although I am in my office 12 hours a day and it doesn't really matter which 12 hours.

Hyde park is a truck from the NW burbs but whatever works best for the majority of the interested and our guests.

As always, no promises but please, keep me informed.

5. How are you holding up in hurricane alley?

we are getting the remnants of Jean today 3-4" of rain. Nothing compared to you guys but a foul day here in Boston.

6. It was pretty darn frightening... but no damage, thank goodness.

The eye passed right over us... that was pretty eerie. I think that someone started a thread here a few days ago saying that the hurricanes were only attacking Republicans.... interestingly enough, most of my neighbors are Republicans, and they all had much more damage than I... doo doo doo dooo..... :)
