BRAVES WIN!! 13th consecutive Division Title BRAVES WIN!!!
Edited on Fri Sep-24-04 09:54 PM by underpants
Of course the Yankees wouldn't have been in 2 of the World Series they won if it hadn't been for the wildcard. I guess some people earn it on their own. The Southern way.

My favorite call of all time-Bob Costas:"At last the south has its championship"

Schmoltz is the only player left from the '91 team.

You, as I did, might have that this was a "retooling year" APPARENTLY NOT!

I have to say that many see the Braves as this corporate conglomerate but those of us who followed them (or had them on as background sound) lived and died on every pitch even though we were more than half sure that it woouldn't work out-but we kept the faith.

My favorite Skip Carrey line is (from the bad days of the mid 80's)"Well the braves have the bases loaded with no outs.....Geez it seems like the Braves have had the bases loaded with no outs for HALF of my adult LIFE!"

BRAVES WIN!!!!!! BRAVES WIN!!!!!!

2. But wait...
How did this happen- I thought this was the year that the Braves were "vulnerable"? That's what the Mets fans and announcers said at the beggining of the year. (/sarcasm OFF)

3. Didn't the Marlins represent the NL in the 2003 World Series?
They didn't earn that on their own?

17. I was referring to ..
the comment that "the Yankees wouldn't have been in 2 of the World Series they won if it hadn't been for the wildcard. I guess some people earn it on their own. The Southern way."

I was just pointing out that the Marlins of Florida (the south to me) would thus also fall into the category of 'not earning it on their own' as per the original post, since they were a wild-card team.

10. Spahnnie is my idol
Losing him really hurt. He was the real soul of the Braves. More than Aaron, who was second place.
