Poll question: Whats the longest youve gone without...it?

Whats the longest youve gone without "affection"? My wife is sitting 8 feet from me and I know I wont be getting anywhere near her tonight. Schedules mostly, sometimes moods, but it seems to be always "some" reason why it never happens. Didnt used to be that way, dammit.

2. Just ended a relationship a little over a year ago

and this has been the longest without "affection" I have gone since I lost my virginity at the age of 16.

My hubby recently scored major romance points from using something he learned on "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy." He surprised me with a hot towel foot massage. Take a towel, run it under hot water, wring it out and wrap the towel around her foot. It felt heavenly and we did play hide the salami that night.

If you haven't done it, I suggest you talk about it. Seriously. Both my hubby and I simply avoided the subject (except when we fought, which was counter productive) and it just became so large that it was impossible to even approach eventually.

Once you have kids, spontaneity is harder to achieve. Sure, that's what we'd like but you may have to plan. When you can still talk about it lovingly, that's when to talk.

It IS important.

My sex drive was low for the longest time but now I'm really starting to crave physical affection- and my DH usually doesn't want sex. He's always seemed to have no sex drive.

I dont konw why that is, but I share your frustrations.

36. I had a couple of gaps when I was young

My first encounter was at 15. After I broke up with him less than a year later, it was a year and a half. Then after an encounter, it was another year. I was rather busy doing other stuff so it wasn't really that important to me. I tended to think that having sex outside of marriage or at least a solid relationship was a bad thing at the time also.
After I met my husband, probably the longest was a few weeks, when we were on winter break. After we were married, maybe a week and a half due to a business trip. When we were both home, less than a week.
