My husband's doctor just took him off Plavix

AFTER we just bought a new bottle of the "platinum-plated" pills..:grr:

so now we have a sealed bottle of 90 useless, but super-expensive pills.:grr::grr:..

It will be nice though, for him not to need a bandaid every time he scratches a mosquito bite :)

so it ought to be easy to get rid of. If still sealed, maybe the pharmacy will take it back.

4. The "pharmacy" we have to use (insurance plan)

is an automated (robot) warehouse in San Diego.. It practically takes an act of congress to talk to a human .. The first time we used them, they charged us for 180 pills on one of his prescriptions..(the $75 co-pay) and dispensed 90.. It took me almost 2 MONTHS and many threatening letters to get them to pay attention to my problem.. I even called the state insurance office in Sacramento..

I hope so, that is great. I just assumed it was a lifetime commitment.

Did you notice how the price went up about 25% the same time the 15% discount card (ahhahahahaha) game out.

5. He was turning into a hemophiliac

(sort of ):).. A teensy little nick would have him bleeding through a couple of band aids, so I guess the doc thought Plavix was too much for him..

When they first put him on it, he developed a bleeding ulcer, and almost bled to death..:scared:.. He ended up in the hospital for a week ..

I hated to see them put him back on it.. So I am glad he's off it now.
