What I do

I am a Marketing & Communications Editor at Hewlett-Packard's outsourced Finance unit in Bangalore, India.

I can safely divulge that now coz I am leaving the company and will look for an option which is unrelated to Outsourcing.

I have always felt guilty about where I work ever since I became a DU member, for it is entirely possible that I am currently denying one DUer his/her job in the US. Of course there's no way in hell that some American will get the job I am quitting (perish that thought man, they've already hired a girl who is eager to contribute to the company). But still, at least I won't feel like a creep for being bitchy about the corporates that support assholes like bush here at DU, and draw a salary from them at the same time.

Besides, I need to delink myself from the world economy, go local, you know? So the first step is to remove myself from a continent-spaning corporation, which I have done. I'm going to Delhi where I will set up a print magazine for the IT community in India.

Eventually, I aim to have a little farm on the foothills of the himalayas where i will rear cows and pigs and lots of dogs. maybe a few ducks in a small pond, and grow vegetables.

That will give me a better chance to survive the oil crash. (hey, only the paranoid survive)

...can you make it big enough to house some of DUer, ESPECIALLY if Bush steals the election again. We may need to find homes outside of the US. We could start a little DU community right there in the foothills

It's admirable what you are doing but I don't blame those in India for taking our jobs away. I mean, Indians need jobs too!! I blame those right here in the US that would deny American's job in order to line their bank accounts with more money.
