1. that is a hoot!
well I wonder how the freepers would "unDU" it? That could possibly be just as hysterical.

2. LOL. I know what that is
There were hysterical reviews of the actual pet goat book, but they were taken down when someone pointed them out to Amazon. Obviously, folks have found another "goat" book and are posting the reviews there. Enjoy it while it lasts.

6. Here's the editorial review!!
Editorial Reviews
From School Library Journal
PreSchool-Grade 1-Titles that fall short of the quality desired for beginning readers. Each of the six one-page chapters faces a color photo of only fair quality. The large-print text of three to four short sentences is reminiscent of 1950s' primers with their short choppy sentences. Readers are supposed to believe that the story is being narrated by the children shown in the obviously posed pictures. The information presented is correct, but the texts do little but define a few terms such as the proper names of the male and female animals. The glossaries are contrived, mostly repeating what has been stated in the texts. My Horse defines coat as "a horse's fur" and uses the word shine to define shiny. A box on the back covers contains the words "early intervention," with no clue as to what it means.

8. I love the review that is in Rummy's voice...
Reviewer: M. JONES "fancy pants" (Seattle) - See all my reviews

Was there a pet goat? Sure - we can say it was there. Can we say
the book held a grown man's attention during a time of crisis? Who's to say - could be - it's possible. Will the pet goat chew a can? Sure, why not - it's a goat right? Is the book good enough to hold the average 7 year-old's attention? It's been known to. Do we know for certain? We don't know. You're going to be told lots of things about a this pet goat. It's going to be printed and repeated. Are these things true about the pet goat? We know that they are being printed and that they are being repeated. Yes they are true.

10. You can find reviews of the actual book ("My Pet Goat") here:
http://www.sadlyno.com/uploads/sadlynogoats.htm

Amazon keeps deleting the reviews from their site.

Here's a choice example:

This was probably the coolest thing with words in it that someone has ever read to me. I was able to concentrate for 7 whole minutes. I sometimes loose my train of thought and need my staff members to remind me of things. I wonder if that goat has staff member?...............Thats a grovey goat. I wish I was goat.
