6. No, no, no. Jesus did not drink Jager. That's blasphemous.
He did, however, distill a mean brandy out of Manischevitz.

2. You are actually going? It takes me two to three martini's not to vomit
when I hear that god awful music that apparently was federally legislated that all weddings play. Send a nice gift and your regrets

4. Pffft...get loaded before you go.
Then, keep a flask in the car. No one will miss you for a couple minutes here and there.

Just make sure you have a designated driver.

5. A dry wedding reception?
Wow....Never been to one of those.

A successful reception ALWAYS includes the bride's drunk father/brother/uncle making a complete ass out of himself.

You really need to sneak a bottle of your favorite booze in.

12. Actually, I've only been to one wedding that HAD liquor...
...and it was in the "city". Where I live (small Southern town) one has to drive 50 miles to the nearest, legal liquor store. Most counties in this state are dry.

14. I have to be in a wedding in a few weeks
and it's on the same day a big-ass party in the middle of nowhere is going on with 9 confirmed bands and 5 more supposed to play. I'm pissed. I'm hoping for a short ceremony then hang out at the reception for awhile then head to the party to try to catch a few of the bands. If it was an early wedding it wouldn't be much of a problem but it doesn't start until 5.

17. Jesus turned water into wine at a wedding so
what's up with that group? Sorry you'll be so bored. Sneak in some clear stuff and put in the punch bowl. Too 50's I guess.

18. bring a bottle and leave it in your car....
you can go in and out of the reception which is good because everyone needs an excuse to flee the chicken dance. Plus you'll be the most popular guest. :)

19. My mother-in-law made us serve alcohol
We had an early afternoon reception so not many people drank. I rarely drink and don't come from a drinking family. My family does not serve alcohol during family events, my grandparents did not drink, and my uncles and aunts rarely get drunk. In my home area, alcohol was not necessary to have at every community event like it is here in Wisconsin. There are several churches who believe or had believed in the recent past that drinking is some level of sin. People belonging to churches like that are less likely to publically drink and people from those families or where those types of churches are common will be less likely to include it in celebrations. I think it becomes a type of culturual thing and what one associates with alcohol.

22. Even Jesus encouraged drinking at weddings
What is wrong with people? You would think that fundamentalists would insist on having wine at the reception. After all, if it was good enough for the lord and savior..... ;-)

23. I went to a co-worker's wedding
some years ago. There was a cookie table ( tradition around here) and no booze. I was stunned. I had never been to a cookie table wedding before. I like weddings with libation!
