Question about Journalists

Do condescending smug jerks choose to go into journalism or does the profession turn normal people into snobby arrogant egotists?

Every journalist I have ever read or met has the exact same personality that transcends politics, race, gender, etc.

1. It's a dog eat dog world out there

Everyone's looking for a scoop and a major break through story.

I feel for some journalists those facts muddy their duty to tell the truth using accurate facts and sources.

I am a sports writer and in even my line of work there is scum out there.

My beats are not as intense as say covering the presidential election but I guess one does what they have to especially if their job is at stake.

No, we don't go into that field like that I think sometimes the field makes some people that way.
