1. I picked Crystal
Back then, anything which was strange or "heavy" was fine by me. This is your mind on drugs... :)

2. "I Think We're Alone Now" and "Mirage" -
Two examples of textbook 60's power pop.

3. One is missing, I think
That would be "Tommy James gets covered with honey and heaved naked into a hornet's nest." A fit punishment for "My Baby Does..." which I thought was unbearably stupid when I was 7.

5. Uhh, folks?

Can we *please* try to keep the music polls on the positive side? There's enough negative crap in the world already. Thanks!

6. My favorite is "(Baby Baby) I Can't Take It No More"...
which, in my opinion, is one of the single greatest "B-sides" of all time. Though for what it's worth, I voted "Sweet Cherry Wine" for the poll's sake, and "She", "Crystal Blue Persuasion", "Crimson and Clover", "Breakaway", "Mirage", "Ball of Fire", "(Run Run Run) Baby Run to Me", and "Love of a Woman" are all up there.

7. ``I Think We're Alone Now'' is one of my favorite songs of all time,
not just my favorite by this group. I liked all their songs, but this one was my favorite, by far. I loved Tommy James and the Shondells, as a kid, but thought the rest of the world had forgotten about them. Thanks for the memories!:D

8. If it wasn't for all those other songs
they would have been a one-hit wonder after Hanky-Panky.

9. And if it weren't for the 500 miles separating it from the ocean...

...Las Vegas would be a beach resort! What's your point?

No way to decide which one I like better.

13. I'm with you...
I voted for "Mony Mony" but it was pretty much a coin toss.

16. I'm pretty sure that ``Hanky Panky'' was their biggest hit, but
I still voted for ``I Think We're Alone Now.'' That song is one of my favorites of all time. ``Hanky Panky'' came in a close second.:-)

12. 'Hanky Panky'
Edited on Thu Sep-04-03 06:08 AM by FlashHarry
Silly song. Great garage-rock riff.

On edit: 'Mony Mony' was ruined for me in high school by idiots yelling, "Hey! Get laid, get f*cked!" during the Billy Idol version.

15. The followup to Draggin' the Line, I'm Coming Home
Gospel-inflected and I think he's praising the Lord, but it's a terrific song. Of the Shondells numbers I only like Crimson & Clover, and only sometimes.
