she didn't feel a thing and they healed fast with no problems. she claims breastfeeding both her kids killed all the feeling in them.( I think she was kidding). Actually mine don't flare up unless I aggrevate them buy getting one caught in something or banging into stuff. I also have stretched mine up to 6 guage and that could have something to do with it. I am assuming u have anywhere from 14 to 10 guage...
