Poll question: Favorite song by Blink 182?
need one for the post-Gen X generation, whatever we're called :)

of course I'll probably have to stick the singles, and thus leave out such greats as Emo, Lemmings, Wendy Clear and Anthem

1. Generation Y, perhaps?

Unfortunately, I'm unable to vote in your poll. I don't think I've ever heard anything by Blink 182!

God, I feel so old....

2. you probably have, just don't realize it
almost everyone has heard Dammit or What's My Age Again?

Ever seen American Pie? They're the band that's practicing when Jim's little situation comes up on the internet. The song playing while he runs over there is Mutt.

3. We're Gen Y...
But I hate Blink 182. Sorry. The only song I've ever remotely liked by them is Adam's Song. And they stink live, from what I've seen of their live performances taped and stuff... :P

4. Don' t like the newer stuff
Edited on Tue Sep-02-03 12:44 AM by Cush
And I've never heard "Cheshire Cat" or the other previous albums

So off of "Dude Ranch" I'll go with: Waggy, Emo, I'm Sorry, Untitled & Enthused

Well, i guess the only 'new' songs I like are Adams Song and Stay Together For The Kids

6. ha ha, Waggy is awesome
"I don't want to live this lie again, I know I'll get it right but I don't know when. I'll open my eyes, I've got something inside, I'll just jack off in my room until then."

Emo is so awesome too. Dude Ranch is similarly ranked like Dammit, one of the top 10 or top 5 albums of all time. Blows everything by the Beatles and Led Zeppelin out of the water.

5. I can't believe I'm the only one who voted for Dammit
Edited on Tue Sep-02-03 12:47 AM by ButterflyBlood
sheesh. That's got to be one of the top 10 singles of all time, at least. hell, top 5 maybe.

btw, are any of you older folks voting? I don't think I've ever met a middle aged person who liked any Blink 182.

10. How do you define middle-aged?
I'm 30 and I like Blink 182. "Adam's Song" is my favorite, but "Aliens Exist" rocks too.

16. I'm 41 and I like Blink 182 so there. (smile)
Just because I got older I saw no reason why I shouldn't keep listening to the same music. I still like punk, post-punk, pre-punk, indie, alternative (when that meant something), lo-fi, DIY, hardcore, new wave, power pop, and whatever other subgenres they've come up with in the last 15 minutes.

What the hell is wrong with me, my friends say I should act my age. What's my age again? :)

17. I know what you mean
I may not like Blink 182 as much as Green Day, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - but I like them.

Also, I'm a 27 year old male and like the music of many of the young female pop/rockers a lot.

I hate it when people say you're not in the right demographic for liking a kind of music.

7. Supoose I'll go with dammit...
Since it was the song that got me into them in the first place, but if I really had to pick one, I'd probably go with Track 14 on Take Off Your Pants and Jacket- untitled track with only Tom on acoustic.

8. what color CD do you have?
there are 3 different colors, each with a different bonus track. The yellow one is "I Wanna Fuck a Dog in the Ass" (that one's Tom), the green one is "When You Fucked Grampa" (that one's Mark) and I have no clue what's on the red one.

9. I gots me the yeller one.
To this day, I still haven't heard the hiddens on either green or red, but I have heard that the grandpa one is quite humorous. Is the first hidden track the same on all of them(i'm assuming if its the same on the green and yellow, it's probably the same on all)?

I have. I liked Josie though as far as songs go. Cheshire Cat was all right, and Buddha was kinda boring.
