I am now going to spend what time I am able to watching the competitions. That means I will also be subject to endless COMMERCIALS for cars, clothes and hemorroid aids.
1. It's not the commercials that get me (I'm immune). It's the blathering
commentary, the canned ham "inspirational" video backgrounders, and the gag reflex-inducing political tie-ins, as when Iraq won its soccer match. Not to mention that some of the events -- such as synchronized diving -- are just dumb.
