and if that's the message, they are playing on gay bigotry. They are attempting to create a new stereotype. They are reinforcing gay bigotry by creating a fear (in some) that they don't want to be thought of as gay because being GAY is worse than being a smoker (horrors!)

10. Well, what do they consider more "sinful"?

Gosh, I've even known Lesbians who tell lies, laugh at inappropriate times and don't brush their teeth after every meal. My sister-in-law, who is a Lesbian, she even eats salad with her fingers!!

Of course, the majority of straights I know, including me, do the same things.

I also smoke and drive a pickup..does being male disqualify me from being a Lesbian?

Tobacco companies are right wing. Right wingers hate queers. Tobacco shortens life considerably, and occasionally even kills young people. Tobacco companies get profits, GOP gets campaign funds, queers get dead.
