devoid of any deep thoughts. He comes across in interviews as a guy that's very superficial. I could be wrong, but i just don't see the guy as a deep thinker.

I've never seen or read an interview with him in which he seemed the least bit intelligent. Though when he was on Letterman the other night, he somewhat redeemed himself because he laughed most of the time (and, much as I hate the man, I have to say legitimately laughing) and thus kept any real level of conversation from ever happening so that his true ignorance couldn't shine through like the 800 million candlepower searchlight it usually is.

But I think Nicole was cheating on him....she had that miscarriage right before he left her and everyone and their dog knows Tom's been shooting blanks his whole life.

She was cheating because of a total lack of sex life and finding that out opened a door for him to leave.

Edited this post because it's inappropriate for me to post speculation about Tom Cruise's private life. What's done is done. But I don't think Nicole was cheating on him


And also just because a guy has been shooting blanks, doesn't mean that he could have eventually been successful. Or she could have got it through IVF or something. We don't know the whole story


And Kidman had the miscarriage after Tom had left her, not before

Or it could have been that they broke up due to the pressures and stresses involved in being a high profile couple. Indeed I think that is probably the most likely scenario
But those are just my thoughts

6. She isn't rotten.

She donated the entire paycheck from her first big film to charity. So, she used to be good at least.

Cruise obviously isn't very book smart, but he was pretty consistently smart in the career decisions he made, and smart enough to surround himself with knowledgeable people (career-wise).

is that Tom is very gay, and his best buddy for a time was that other shining example of masculinity, the guy who starred with Olivia Newton John in the disco movie. He and his wife are also into Scientology, interestingly enough. John Revolta or whatever his name is...............

"everyone is gay". Particularly if they are rich ,famous and good looking.Often these same people will tell you that they screwed these people or know someone who did. This is really irritating.You CAN be rich, Famous and good looking , live in LA and not be gay.BTW, isn't it reverse discrimination to insist that heteros are gay? Maybe the rumour mill should start saying the guys from Queer Eye are actually straight? I used to live in LA and work in the industry so this is a real pet peeve of mine.

He and Nicole donated to Hillary in 2000.

Nicole very much fits the mould of a progressive liberal. Even here in Australia she has come out against our right wing government on more than one occasion. She's a very smart, intelligent, courageous and outspoken woman
