Good news George R.R. Martin fans!
No, A Feast For Crows still doesn't have a release date :-(
...but, if you check out http://www.georgerrmartin.com/ you'll see a Kerry/Edwards banner featured on the front page!

1. Man, I really have to give that series another go.
I got halfway through book one but wasn't really feeling it.

3. Anyone ever read George R.R. Martin's "The Monkey Treatment"?
Great short story nominated for a Nebula and Hugo in 1983. It was about a weight loss program involving an evil monkey that no one can see except the main character, that climbs up on his back and keeps him from eating. The weaker the main character gets, the stronger and larger the monkey gets on his back.

4. Damn
Don't play with our feelings like that!

I've been a fan of his since the Wild Card days. If there was ever an author that I prayed for their health, it's Martin.

Good to know he's on our side, though.

5. Heh... it's too bad he can't write them any faster...
I'd rather have him take his time though, and make it good. It sounds like it's mostly done from the blurb on his page. He does have a sample chapter up if you haven't seen it already...

6. Goddammit.
He better be writing two essentially back-to-back like last time.

And he better not be another Robert fucking Jordan.

7. Well, it's too late for him to become Robert Jordan...
The plot actually gets significantly advanced in each of his books... Seriously, I only keep reading the Wheel of Time out of sheer bloodymindedness now. I've read them all so far, and I'll be damned if I stop now...
