I've started calling my "husband" my "purplehappyfish". WHY?

Because I am sick to death of this argument the anti-gay rights people have (and a stupid one at that) that the words "husband" and "wife" will have no meaning if we allow gay people to get married.

Of COURSE they will still have meaning. What color is the sky on their planet?

But let's say in fifty years or so, the words are seen as archaic and no one uses them anymore.

So what? Are my feelings for him any different if I call him my purplehappyfish? NO. Are his feelings for me any different if he calls me his oobleyoo? NO. They are JUST WORDS, people.

So in defiance we are no longer referring to the other one as "husband" or "wife". He hasn't decided what to call me yet. Just not "weiner" or "dookus" or anything like that.
