2. Florida's an environmental disaster area

They took a perfectly nice place and, in the name of the Almighty Dollar, destroyed (most of) it. If you want to explore the large-scale effects of rampant development and short-term greed, Florida's a great case study. It's also Invasive-Species-Central for the contiguous US. And they can't drive there. And.... :-)

But I still like parts of it. I could live there, in the right place.

It really is a mess, though.

the gulf beaches, a beautiful downtown over looking Tampa Bay, awesome bridge to Sarasota where the the socialists live.

bicycle friendly, low traffic, pretty women, black people, brown people, white peolple. beautiful neighborhoods. great weather.

worlds coolest radio station - WMNF-FF 88.5 that brings in great musical acts from all over the world.

downtown has 3 museums, 2 baseball stadiums, a performing arts center, an airport, a harbor, a large peir, yacht club and a world class hotel, plenty of parking and trolleys.

this is one of the coolest places on earth to live.
