I loved that show. It was kind of weird because they took a character out of a comedy show, and put him in a drama. (I wonder why they never had Mary Richards visit.) I loved Lou and Billie and those two guys that I can't remember the names of, and Animal. And Mrs. Pynchon. And Lou's boss. I was a wannabe 12-year-old photojournalist at the time, so I really loved Animal.

Are the reruns shown anywhere? It was a very decent show.

1. LOved it

Of course, being a liberal, intelligent show with an outspoken, liberal star, it was doomed.

Of course, I'm a lifelong Ed Asner fan, having grown up with him on the Mary Tyler Moore show.:hi:

On edit - as a kid, I wanted to do nothing more than be a political journalist. So you can see I'm using those skills and my major to work in retail.:eyes:

4. I must love Ed Asner
Because the right hates him. :)

He's a great actor, I just wish he'd act more.

:hi:

6. I liked how they ended it.
Not many TV shows terminate in nuclear war.

9. Not Quite...
Actually they didn't go that far - there were four more episodes after the one in question (appropriately titled, according this site, "Unthinkable.") However, considering how that particular episode ended (if I remember correctly it was a cliffhanger in the style of the "Cuban Missile Crisis,") the assumption is understandable.
