A good samaritan returned my cellphone!
I lost it on wednesday, and I just checked my voicemail. One of the messages was "Hi, I'm ___ _____, and I found your cellphone on a bench in Stanley Park. I'm going to leave it at the information booth near the ________".

How's that for nice?!

1. Very nice!
Makes one happy to know there are still nice folks in the world.

2. Yesterday at lunch
I noticed a cell phone left abandoned on an adjacent table - and was able to get it to the owner as they were finishing up at the cahsier.

It always feels good to do that. Plus I can use the karma.

3. I once found a cell phone in a nightclub and I called the number
for the parents and left a msg for where they could find it...but I could not help being mischievous as well....It was some guy's phone. I called a few of the girls in his list and tried to set up a fictional rendez vous (the guy lived in Chicago and I was in LA). It was pretty funny for the girls who obviously did not know the guy too well, but were suddenly surprised by his sudden friskiness! LOL - A youthful indiscretion.

4. somebody returned my wallet last weekend!
It would have been such a pain to replace all the missing ID, etc. (far more of a concern than the small amount of money). I've found wallets, purses, and phones over the years -- even a roll of bills whose owner I was able to trace because of a paycheque in with them -- and I was gratified that there really does seem to be karma out there.

Glad to hear it, CanuckAmok.
