Starbuck's to give free coffee for wearing your Kerry Button!
Edited on Wed Jul-21-04 09:54 AM by floridaguy
Well, not exactly, but I was offerred a free cup. I was wearing my button and the astute young man asked if that was my car with the rally sign behind the windshield of my car, which was parked right strategically in front of the store where everyone had to see it whether they wanted to or not. Of course it was. (Tip: Mount a rally sign on foam board and use as a visor for the windshield)

"Well, you should get free coffee here all the time then", the energized young man said. I explained that I'm probably responsible for a large portion of last quarter's corporate profits, so he backpeddled. "Well, at least I can pay for this one." Then he asked where he could get a Kerry button, so I graciously said he could have mine.(I have more at home of course, and more on the way) The girl behind him perked up, "Well I want one too". So he graciously passed it to her. I told him I'd bring him a "no w" button, which really made him happy. He said I shoud bring a whole box of them.

That will be a Venti Java Chip Frappacunio Please!

1. Yay!
I've had good luck at Starbucks spreading the word.

And since it's such a popular spot in our podunk town, I can piss off the fundies by wearing my liberal T-shirts there too.

2. Oh yeah
I was wearing my "no w" t-shirt with my Kerry hat in our nice little Repugnant heaven, when lo and behold, and older gentlemen walks in with a Kerry button on his hat and one on his shirt.

I'm not gonna get complacent, but I'm starting to think landslide.

3. i think a lot of people are sick of *
I am not going to apologize for being a liberal democrat! The next good who makes any anti-Kerry comment to me is going to get an earful! There are people out there who have made us a dirty word and I think it is time for them to start apologizing to us for supporting terrible gov't at home and abroad. I think it is time to hold the rightwingers metaphorical feet to the fire.
