As anybody who knows me can tell you, I LOVE sarcasm! No surprise, then, that I found this letter so appealing:
MARRIAGE VOTE JUST THE BEGINNING
Regarding "Senate To Vote On Gay Rights"
, there are many additional ways that President Bush and our wonderful Congress can strengthen the sanctity of marriage.
They can enact laws to make infidelity a federal crime; enact a constitutional amendment prohibiting divorce; federalize the state laws that banned interracial marriages; make abortion a felony with mandatory jail time for women; outlaw the use of condoms without a prescription from a doctor; make pre-marital sex a crime; encourage male gender preference births as China does (where many female newborns are killed); re-enact the anti-sodomy laws prohibiting unnatural sex; censor and jail Howard Stern and others for lewd and lascivious conduct; adopt the Arab culture of stoning to death women who are unfaithful and show disrespect toward men; and permit the Muslim custom of killing daughters and sisters who lose their virginity.
A constitutional amendment to ban same sex marriage is just a beginning. Bush can make marriage even stronger in his next four-year term. Our Founding Fathers would be proud of us.
