Man Urged Teens To Play Russian Roulette In His Home - Teen Dead

Eighteen-year old Michael Murray wanted no part of playing Russian roulette with a loaded gun. But it didn't matter to the 38-year-old Elmhurst dad who was urging kids at his home to participate in the twisted game, according to police.

Anson Paape challenged Murray's courage as he turned the gun on him and fired, killing the York Community High School student in Paape's recreation room Friday night, police said Sunday.

Paape's five daughters and stepdaughters and one of their male friends tumbled out of the home, weeping and wailing, a neighbor said.

One girl cried to the male friend, "Will you ever forgive me?" said Joe Hatz.

On Sunday afternoon, Paape's wife, Victoria, appealed for him to surrender to police, saying, "I want this to end without you being injured." He fled on foot after the shooting with no credit cards and little cash, said Detective Cmdr. Raymond G. Turano of the Elmhurst Police Department.

As I am reading this, the dead kid did nothing. The father shot HIM as he was trying to get out of the sick little "game." I don't understand your point...
