My morning routine varies little: up at 3:00, have some tea, let the dogs out, shower, dress and head to the shop to take delivery of the bundles of newspapers around 4:00. Grover, who is 'my' dog always goes with me, and Brody (Tony's dog) sometimes does.

This morning, everything was went as usual, right up until it came time to go to the shop: I got Grover's leash down and rattled it, which usually brings him running, ready to go: not this morning, however. When I went to find Grover, I found him back in bed with Tony and Brody, with Tony's arm over his mid-section. His tail thumped apologetically, but he didn't budge.

I had to unload the papers by myself...

*sigh*

He's got to learn the nitty-gritty of this business, and he knows it. It's not all the glamour of selling papers and cigarettes, and chatting up the customners...
