VICTORY!!!! Finally got published in my hometown paper

We had an article up here about a man with a stolen Identity, the was from my hometown and had his identity stolen by some douchebag in my adopted town here. Well, I sent the article down to the paper for them to reference. I didn't think they'd print it! I thought at the most I was gonna get a photo credit.
Sweet - 70,000 readers is my best so far! Except for that McLean's letter and a couple letters to the Vancouver Sun and Province.

You know, the first time your hometown read your shit....is the best.

I worked briefly in small town journalism shortly after graduation. One night in a bar, I overheard a company representative telling the bartender how a long running strike had just been settled. I wrote up the story and had it picked up by one of the wire services (which thrilled me to no end!).

8. God dammit, I'm even happier now that just remembered

I'm in competition with three others my age two of whom went to my elementary school whenit comes to the journalism career. Naturally this is unofficial, but one of them was the "always get straight A's because I memorize textbook" type who got in journalism basically because she figured her big boobs would get her on TV. THe other is just some asshole who has no clue what he's doing but has an ego. The third is pretty cool and works for the same company as me.
But Dammit, I'm the first to break this barrier....next stop is the Vancouver Sun. Until I begin broadcasting. BWAHAHAHA!
