I'm sorry but what does it mean when someone says "Kick"
next to a post?

Also did DU come up with the hilarious term "Freeper" or did the Free Republic people buffoon themselves and were the first to start calling themselves by that nickname?

1. Kick just means you're bumping the post back up to the top
So it doesn't move on to the next page, as newer posts come up before it. Make sense? Every post is a 'kick'- that is, moves that whole thread to the top again, but sometimes people post just to 'kick' the thread!

I dunno where Freeper started, though...

2. Most message boards use "bump",
but since FR is one of them, DU uses "kick" instead.
