Tomorrow I start my vacation and we're headed up to the shelter for a week of volunteering. I won't be able to check my e-mail or visit DU but I wanted to wish you all a happy and safe week!

I live in Long Grove, Illinois.

It's about 5 hours away from us. We try to make it up there once every couple of months to take food, litter and other supplies but this time we're staying for 5 days to volunteer.

This morning we were asked if we'd be willing to take a couple of dogs to the nursing home while we were there and we said sure!

I thought that the shelter was in WI.

Your a wonderful person for doing what you are doing.

It would be hard to leave the dogs and cats after you get use to being around them.

Keep up the good work and let us know if you need help with buying litter and food.

North of Eagle River, WI and Rhinelander and west of Escanaba MI and Iron Mountain and South of Marquette MI.
