Update on Trojan Horse Virus
It's called "Trojan Horse Downloader.Rameh.E". How can I get rid of it? My anti-virus software isn't getting rid of it. This damn virus keeps coming back too. :grr:

The virus is hidden in my C:\System Volume Information\_restore.

Thanks again.

1. Turn off system restore
THEN delete it, reboot your computer and it should be gone

3. It SHOULD
If it's in your restore folder, it's a good bet that it will. It's hiding in the restore folder, and everytime you reboot the PC, it's coming back with that. Lemme know if it works :hi:

8. Find your My Computer icon
Right click on it, choose Properties. Click on the System Restore tab and check the box Turn off System Restore.

Looks like someone else chimed in with some help below... good luck :)

7. safe mode
start your computer in safe mode. run the antivirus. also down load a good anti spyware/adware program. ad-aware and spybot are too excellent ones. some spyware/adware mimics viruses but antiviruses dont get rid of them so well.

www.lavasoftusa.com for the ad-aware program (there is afree version, so hopefully this wont get deleted)

if you need more help, IM me on AIM (sabbathunt) and i will try to help you out. i am in the IT field.
