1. hmm
I tend to be a fan of any video on BET.

But then again, I have a thing for 'thick' women. :)

4. Wiseguys, White Stripes, etc.
Wiseguys, original video for "Start the Commotion" (with the video loops...sweet!)

The White Stripes videos for "Seven Nation Army" and "Fell In Love With a Girl" (the lego one)

Cornershop "Brimful of Asha" (the Liz Phair rip-off "Extraordinary" is pretty good, too)

MC 900 Foot Jesus "If I Only Had a Brain"

XTC "Dear God"

Those come to mind right off the bat...

Edited on Sat Jun-19-04 10:22 PM by sweet_scotia
It's powerful...

Van Morrison in The Last Waltz. He sings Caravan with The Band and Robbie Robertson calls him the Belfast Cowboy. Love that movie.

10. The Last Waltz is pretty good..
I think the best part is "the Hawk" doing "Who do you love?" Not because its really that good, but because its damn funny. :)

16. It was on A&E a while back
....they all looked so young, especially Van. It's hard to remember when he wasn't a chubby, balding, angry curmudgeon like he is now.

People say I'm crazy but I think he has aged well. :loveya:

9. RATM="Sleep Now in the fire"
Michael Moore directed it. Its kina of a guerilla music video because they setup across the street from the NYSE and were arrested at the end.

11. Land Of Confusion
Genesis.

THE political video of the 1980's, and one of the funniest made.

15. Anything by Duran Duran
Hey, don't laugh! I was the biggest Durannie in the 80's.

I also liked "Lucas with the Lid Off". Obscure from about eight (?) years ago.

Eminem has had a few good ones, too, even though I am not a huge fan.

18. Dire Straits - Money for Nothing
Edited on Sat Jun-19-04 11:49 PM by notmyprez
A-ha - Take On Me
Cars - You Might Think
Tom Petty - I forget which song it was, but the video had an "Alice in Wonderland" theme to it.

Aerosmith had a series of good ones on one album, most of the videos with Alicia Silverstone in them (and one also with Liv Tyler). The best was the one when the guy was calling a phone sex line, and you saw the woman he was fantasizing about, then the woman who was actually on the phone. (Sorry for no song names on thes last one; it's past my bedtime and my brain isn't functioning properly right now.)
