I'm thinkg Intolerable Cruelty, but am open for suggestions as I don't keep up with movies as much as I might. (Too much baseball and politics...and DU!)

Anything great out there, friends?

thanks

1. I enjoyed "Mystic River"
It was the best movie of 2003, IMO.

Tomorrow night, I'm actually looking forward to Cubs vs. Astros. It's Mark Prior vs. Roger Clemens.

2. I didn't think
the ending was that original. I picked it fell asleep for awhile, woke up, and found out I was right.

8. I don't disagree, TSIAS
I would love to watch that baseball game, but according to the local (to me) Seattle paper, we have NO games televised tomorrow in our area (unless you have one of those subscription services, presumably).

I see maybe one or two movies a year, and last year it was "Mystic River." I liked it a lot, although I thought there were some odd parts, in particular the sort of side story about Kevin Bacon's estranged (then not) marriage (those weird phone calls where she wouldn't talk). There were some other things about the women in them movie that were, well, odd, to me, making me think I need to see it again, so maybe I'll just rent it and watch it more closely. I should probably read the book it is based on as well.

Thanks for reminding me of it. It was riveting, regardless of nigglies that didn't add up for me.

3. Even though it's not "New"...
I have to plug my all-time favorite, "Boondock Saints".

7. "not new" isn't important to me
But I once again have to say I haven't heard of this one, Boondock Saints. I'll look into it and thanks for the suggestion, richmwill!

6. Welp...
If you can find "Them", it's the original radioactive giant insect movie... which means that all the cliche's were created for it. See why they became cliche's!

"The Princess Bride" is perfect for a date movie.

"Midway" is about the best naval history movie. Even the mandatory love interest ties in.

"Walking with Dinosaurs" is like taking a movie safari to the Jurrassic period.

Or, you could just be silly and watch "Airplane!".

10. Well, HawkerHurricane
That is about as eclectic a list of movie favorites as I have ever seen!

Thanks!

P.S. Wasn't it "Airplane" that the mother on "Leave It To Beaver" appeared, talking jive? Barbara Billingsly I believe? What a riot. I think OJ was on that one too. Oh boy.

12. No OJ in Airplane...
And that's not all my favorites. Those are my 'laundry' movies (movies I put on when I'm folding laundry).

And I'd maim for a copy of "Them!". Local video store was bought out by Blockbuster, and Blockbuster doesn't carry it...
