I live in Connecticut, which means I have both. And I definitely prefer the beach!

13. Mountains!
Can't stand the beach-- hot, crowded, sandy, salt-covered, sunburned... And you might get eaten by a shark, or stung by a Portuguese Man-'o-War. Or at least a jellyfish.

I'll take a boat out there, though. Love salt water fishing, or a sail on the Sound. Boats have nothing to do with beaches.

14. Grew up on the ocean and................
got bored with it. The old "grass is always greener" syndrome. Got to the point I never went to the beach all season. Got into backpacking and camping and moved to the mountains in CT. Things have now gone full circle and I am ready to move back to the ocean. I miss it.
