I bought a 1936 FDR campaign button at our state convention!
It's about the size of a penny and it says "A gallant leader Franklin D. Roosevelt." with a picture of ol' FDR right on it. On the back it's got a lithographer's union bug and the Union Label. On the side of the button it says,Paul H. Milemore, Chrysler Building, N.Y.

I've gotta get one of those little jewlrey boxes so I can treasure this little button and pass it down if I have kids!

1. What'd you pay for it?
I have one just like it. How was the convention, by the way?

2. Ten bucks.
Tammy Badwin made a kickass speech!

Mix a list of minibrain's failings, The Donald's famous catchphrase from The Apprentice and audience participation, and you get the best speech I have ever witnessed by a political figure.

3. Very cool.
I'm jealous. I attended last year when it was here in Brewtown. Couldn't make it to Appleton this year. Enjoy it!

7. My dad found a sheet of buttons in an unknown closet ...
just a couple weeks ago. My dad is remodeling their house and found a closet that had been covered up by former residents (they built a wall in front of it). He found 16 campaign pins that dated back to 1912 (Roosevelt) ... he has an FDR and a bunch of others. He said that the sheet the pins were on looked like it had been prepared for a sale of some sort and the owners had been selling them for 25 cents each!! Amazing considering how much those are really worth!!

:hi:
