Can I come out of my basement yet?

Remembering how it was after Nixon's death, I went in my basement, shut off the TV, and the radio, and have not opened the papers since Reagan died. Is it safe to surface yet? Or do I need to go back down for another week?

I hear in Canada there is not word one about the guy. True or not?
