Holding the mouse doesn't seem to do it. Do I press something and hold the mouse?

5. Not in all browsers
If he's running Netscape, that should work; forget about it in IE. Don't know about Safari -- I've only used it with a two-button mouse.

9. Well...no...
I'm stuck with it at work, though. We're a publishing house, so we're Mac, but we're OS9 and IE's what's specified -- we're upgrading to OSX this year, though, so I should be able to use Safari, at least.

I use Safari at home, with the aforementioned two-button mouse.

11. hahahahah!!! control click = right click on Mac, so now you know!
unless of course you are using a two button mouse such as this delightful logitech wireless one I am using on my Mac. In which case. right click = right click!!!!!!

Now I have given you a clue!

4. control-click will pop up a menu
with "open image in new window" in it. Get the picture's URL from that. (BTW: Two-button mice work beautifully on Macs -- I got a little portable USB one for $15.)

7. Hold the control button
click on the image. Of the choices provided, go to open image in new window, copy the URL and then paste that in the body of your message.

Let's see if that works for you.

8. I finally went to Photodump
Edited on Fri Jun-04-04 04:14 PM by elfin
when I couldn't get Safari or IE to do what Netscape could on system 9++. No "copy image location" menu when I held down the mouse button.

Maybe there is a way - just haven't figured it out yet.

On photodump, copy the file name to plug into these posts.

On edit - will try the new window trick others mentioned.

13. In Safari, control click on picture, choose "save image as. . ."
from the resulting pop-up menu. Be sure you are holding mouse button down on the picture as you hold down the control key.

Works just the same as 9++

OK Have FUN!!!

12. Spend $200 to get a genuine Apple 2 button transparent cobalt blue mouse
Sheesh, can't Steve Jobs realize that a right mouse button is far easier to use than CTRL-mouse, or OPTION-mouse, ort ctrl-option-mouse or ctrl-option-F-mouse, and so on?

Edited on Fri Jun-04-04 06:06 PM by emulatorloo
Mine works great, and the Mac drivers are great.

"Sheesh" Hypno, why does your bargain hunting sense go out the window whenever you talk about Macs? :)

P.S. there is no $200 Apple Mouse from Steve Jobs :eyes:

P.S.S. I think you already know that

15. Mac user checking in here who prefers one button mousing and
modifier keys. All the modifier keys are done with the left hand, and the execution is done with the right. It works just fine, and having used both systems I prefer it to two (or more) button mice.
