The god damn drunk barber from next door keeps coming over
He comes over - pissed outta his gourd..I can smell the booze from ten feet away.. and make sbad jokes and just generally annoys the staff. I try not to make eye contact because it was the mistake the rest of the staff made. As soon as you make eye contact the guy will be yakking and yakking...

Not that you care, I'm just venting.

16. Well, he seems to have shut down for the day
Our office manager said "You're looking pretty rough, maybe you should go lie down." He hasn't been back for about ten minutes.

4. Does he...
...get a lot of customers, considering his inebriated state?

Can he handle umbrellas? Can he ride a bicycle without falling off? How is he with segways? Pretzels--can chew a pretzel while taking a sip of beer without choking and passing out, only to have the dog awaken him by licking his face? Can he pronounce "nuclear," "subliminal," and "Fallujah?"

Has he ever considered running for Preisident of the U.S.?

5. Can't you tell him to leave?
He is interfering with workplace productivity, if he's yakking to the point of keeping people from their work.

18. Jeremy, you have to write a book
I mean it. It's not negotiable. The universe is trying to tell you something, with all of the bizarro people you meet (the axe-handle neighbor, the drunken barber).

24. my sister was living in a small NJ town
Edited on Wed Jun-02-04 06:05 PM by tigereye
which was a combo of small town ghetto going upscale. Welfare hotels across from art galleries and fancy clothing stores. It was a strange mix. She had some strange but sweet neighbors. I have lived in the city for so long I have forgotten the small town "charms" but I grew up in a small town that I now realize was kind of quaint.
