I was listening on the BBC (World Service on Shortwave, not that "stepped-on" propaganda NPR cuts-and-pastes) and they were interviewing some of the hog riders who went to DC as part of "Rolling Thunder"...
I wonder how many told the interviewer they like Bush because he didn't get no blow-job?

One guy, claiming to speak for 3/4 of the Vietnam veterans, claims that "Kerry's a traitor, he betrayed his Brothers when he come back and did that protesting thing agin' the other soldiers still there..."

Dumbass! Kerry wasn't protesting against soldiers, he was protesting the policies of limp-dicked old white men who SENT those soldiers over there to die.
Just the same as now, we have a bunch of limp-dicks who can't get no satisfaction unless they're commanding Death and Dstruction...

And I agree that most people who spend $15k+ on a Harley are poseurs who've watched too many episodes of 'American Chopper.' Further, anybody who rides a ZX-11 and deems it necessary to attach 'rice burner' likely ascribes to the 'Biker Boyz' school of riding; confident idling at a stoplight in a tank top and thimble helmet, but utterly outclassed in any sort of turn.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt as to whether you're a troll or not.

is a great sport-tourer. Not a truly squidly bike, in terms of ripping around tight bendies and pullinh wheelies, but it does okay for its size and eats a lot of landscape very quickly. It's perfect for the southwest United States, that's for sure.

Collect parts for years and then assemble them. Since you need to fix older Harley's all the time, anyway, having built the thing from "scratch" means you also know how to keep it working!

It helps to be able to weld and machine and paint.

Many of the bikers who used to come into our rural Illinois road house (it was the family business I grew up in) were guys who had built their own from wrecks in just this fashion.
