I still am thinking about getting a new siamese kitten so Mariko can train him or her. She is gonna be 18 this year and I don't know what it would be like not to have an applehead in my house.

I'm sort of in the same boat as my Bullwinkle at 16 is getting awfully arthritic and I don't know how much longer she'll be with me. I'm wondering if she would tolerate an intrusion after all these years.

...she never has liked other cats much. The only kitten she ever actually seemed to like was a little siamese that a friend of mind had and she treated it like it was her own.

4. Bullwinkle didn't even like kittens.

I tried to introduce my neighbor's kitten to her 10 years ago and she hissed and ran away. But I'm thinking that in her senior years she's reached a point to where it would be too much of an effort to even get upset. Still, I don't know and I certainly don't want to upset her. Tough call. Maybe you can borrown a kitten for a day and see what happens.

my male passed away last spring. poor cosmo, and even though i KNEW pansy would not like it, i brought 2 kittens in, my spares. an i gotta say. the dynamis are a hoot. after 7 months she still growls. but she did make the major stepof using their litter box.
sigh. if only i could post pics, cause my sybil is gorgeous.

Applehead (or Traditional Siamese) are the types of Siamese as they originally looked instead of the breeding program that brought about the wedgehead Siamese:
