Poll question: Hypothetical Question

Lets say you see a stranger(or even a friendly acquaintance) and you see that a fast moving vehicle is about to him/her, would you push him or her out the way but see that there is more then a 90% chance you would get hit in the process?
(Like another poster, I'm in a polling mood today.)

Luckily the car came to a stop. Less than a foot from me.

5. I got pissed at the driver

I was pretty freaked for the next couple of days. After I heard him come to a stop I turned around and screamed at him to pay attention and stop.

You could have yelled watch out.

Otherwise it's going to be instinctual in who you are and it will be regardless of the other person.

7. When something happens that fast

three is no way to compute that 90% probability, so I would have no idea whatsoever what the odds were, except to judge that they were good or bad. Just the same, I would make my best effort to save us both. Rather than "push" I suppose I would throw myself bodily at the other person in the hopes of knocking us both out of the way.

There's always a way to tilt the odds more in your favor, which is why questions like this are so meaningless. Someone with quick reflexes might have a 10% chance of getting killed while someone older or slower might have worse odds.

I should've said that you can be able to determine that it's a near thing you'll probaly get hit after pushing that person out of the way. Anyways it's a stupid question.

I like to think I would do it, but I might also be paralyzed with fear too. I have no idea.
