I have to take "Moe" to the vet- he has ulcer like sores on his neck
I don't know what happened to the poor guy, I noticed some ruffled fur and looked closer. He has two spots that are really infected. I couldn't get an appointment until 4pm today. I put some hydrogen peroxide on it and it fizzed up pretty good.
He just isn't himself today, he doesn't want to go outside and he won't come running when I go into the kitchen to cook or get something out of the fridge. I am worried about the poor thing, he is such a wonderful little dog.
Please wish Moe luck this afternoon!

3. Oh no!
Poor little guy. Could it be a foliculitis? Our little one got that last year. It looked awful, her hair was lost in a small patch and it was gooey. A few days of antibiotics and it began to get better. It took a while for the hair to come back in. Good luck, let us know.

6. We have three dogs
and the others did not get it. I think it is just a bacteria that gets into the hair follicles so it shouldn't be transferable I wouldn't think but I don't know for sure. At least doggie antibiotics, at least the one we used, are cheap.

5. I think so too. Might get a nice shampoo from your doc and give him
scrubs more often. It might make his skin feel better, poor baby.

7. That's a beautiful dog!
I'm sure he'll be ok but I know how you feel you just worry about your pets cause they can't tell you what is wrong with them.

Hope his condition clears up soon as he's one handsome dog.

10. Moe is fine!
The vet said it was a "hot spot", a tick had bitten him and he had fluid build up under the skin. It sure looked nasty. The Vet shaved the area, gave him some anti-biotic pills, some powder for the wound and some frontline tick spray.
